India, June 1, 2015: Yash Joshi, a student of Grade 3 from VIBGYOR High, Balewadi was felicitated in New Delhi on May 31, 2015 for achieving First Rank at the International level in the 17th National Science Olympiad (NSO) in the academic year 2014-15. Guest of Honor, Padma Shree Prof YS Rajan Chairman, NIT Manipur & Hon’ble Distinguished Prof. at ISRO awarded Yash Joshi with a cash prize of Rs.50,000 along with a Gold Medal,  Merit Certificate and a Gift voucher worth Rs. 1,000/-.

Besides, Padma Shree Prof YS Rajan, Chief Guest, Hon’ble Justice Mr. Deepak Verma, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India with Guest of Honor and Mr. Michael Gordon, Teaching Centre Manager, India, British Council were also present to grace the occasion.

During the felicitation Yash Joshi said, “I am honored for an appreciation at such a grand scale. Everything is very new and exciting for me over here. I never thought in my dreams that I can achieve this level of success in my life. I have to give credit to my school, teachers, parents and grandparents who were always there to teach me, clear doubts and encourage me throughout.

Yash is also entitled for SOF’s Academic Excellence Scholarship (AES) award for securing first rank at the State level, based on the cumulative marks obtained. These marks are calculated considering the best of 3 out of 4 examinations – National Science Olympiad, National Cyber Olympiad, International Mathematics Olympiad, and International English Olympiad. He will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 along with a trophy and certificate for the same.

100% pass rate at VIBGYOR High in CISCE examinations 2015

When the ICSE 2015 results were announced, there was a big reason to celebrate at VIBGYOR High group of schools – it had achieved 100% results from across Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara and Bangalore centres in the 10 examinations.
This year, the number of students who took the Class 10 boards from several schools across India was around 1.59 lakh with a pass percentage of 98.49%. The results are up by 0.21%, making it ICSE’s best in the last five years.

253 students, who appeared for the examinations this year from VIBGYOR High, passed with outstanding grades –  40% from across centres have scored more than 90% marks, while 93% have got a distinction.
The school has recorded a highest percentage of 96.8% secured by Tweesha Rakesh Jain from the Mumbai region. The toppers from other regions are Bhavna Arora and Siddarth Sai Amruth Yetikuri from Bangalore with 96%, Chinmay Pathak from Pune with 95.8% and Shah Dharmit Sandeep from Vadodara with 90.8%.
Tweesha Rakesh Jain, topper student, VIBGYOR High Mumbai School, expressed her happiness, saying, “I am extremely glad to see the wonderful outcome of my efforts. I am very thankful to my teachers, principal and my parents for providing constant support and motivation throughout the academic year. They were always present to provide me with expert guidance, wherever and whenever required.”

Children participated at VIBGYOR High Summer Fest pic 11 300x224 VIBGYOR High, Vadodara hosted a Summer FestVadodara : VIBGYOR High, Vadodara hosted a Summer Fest for the sports enthusiasts in collaboration with Olympia Sportz & Events, with an attempt to actively promote Football and Basketball amongst children. The tournament was held in the school premises of VIBGYOR High, Vadodara from April 30, 2015 to May 4, 2015. The school invited students from several schools, academies and clubs across the nation.
The competition witnessed a participation of 35+ teams with around 300 students from more than 20 schools, academies and clubs, who passionately displayed their potential on the field. Football tournament was held across 3 age categories, namely – U12, U14 and U16 for boys, while Basketball matches were held for both, boys and girls under the same age category. VIBGYOR High, Nalanda International School, Delhi Public School and a few more were among the winning list. The winners from each category were awarded with a Trophy and a certificate, while the participants were given participation certificates.
Expressing his views about the event, Mr. Dilip George, Principal, VIBGYOR High, Vadodara said, “At VIBGYOR High, the amenities and infrastructure is designed keeping the sports education in mind. We strive towards promoting all kind of sports within our school premises. In its 5th year of Summer Fest, we aim to reach out to maximum number of students encouraging the sportsman spirit within them.”
